Описание: 1930 год. Бескрайние бесплотные земли Маньчжурии стали прибежищем и ищущих лучшей жизни бедняков с граничащих с ней территорий, и скрывающихся от японских властей беглецов из Кореи и Китая.
Юн Тхэ Гу (Чокнутый) - чудаковатый проныра, промышляющий грабежами поездов. В ходе очередного налета к нему попадает таинственная карта, которую охраняло подозрительно много японских военных сил. Смекнув, что карта не простая, Юн Тхэ Гу прихватывает ценную бумагу, намереваясь получить за неё приличную денежную сумму. Однако, оказывается, что на карту имеют виды не только коллеги Юн Тхэ Гу по разбою во главе с безжалостным убийцей Пак Чхан И (Плохой), но и корейское освободительное движение, нанявшее не имеющего промаха стрелка Пак Дo Вон'а. Все они устремляются следом за Юн Тхэ Гу, а с каждым часом обрастающая легендами карта приманивает всё больше как охотников наживы, так и разыскивающих утерянную вещь японцев.
Плохой, Хороший, Чокнутый стал самым дорогим фильмом в истории кинематографа Южной Корей и по сборам проката первой недели фильм занял третье место после D-War и The Host.
Бюджет фильма составил около 17-ти миллионов долларов.
Съёмки фильма заняли почти два года.
Часть сцен была снята в пустыне Гоби (Китай).
Премьера фильма состоялась на Канском Кинофестивале вне конкурсной программы в мае 2008 года.

«Chemistry among three of South Korea's most expensive thesps is just fine. Song, evoking Eli Wallach's wily Tuco but with a peasant bluster, motors the movie; Lee, mirroring Lee Van Cleef's icy Angel Eyes but with a Korean psycho-gangster mentality, is also commanding. Least developed of the three, but with a graceful athleticism, is Jeong, with the pure bounty-hunter code of Clint Eastwood's Blondie. Impressively, all three handle the vast majority of their own stunts.»

«This Kimchi Spaghetti Western doesn’t taste as good as it looks. It had it’s comedic and stylish moments and the three stars still shine with their magnetic onscreen charisma (in their own respective ways) but it was just too choppy and bumpy ride.»
