Aya Nakahara (NAKAHARA Aya / 中原 アヤ / なかはら アヤ) is a Japanese manga-ka and writer, born on Saturday, July 28, 1973, in Osaka, Japan. Worked in a restaurant kitchen before she became a manga-ka.
Her first professionally published manga was short story Haru to Kuki to Nichiyōbi. It was published in 1995 in Bessatsu Margaret , a manga magazine of Shueisha publishing house for young girls.
She is mostly known for her Love★Con manga translated to English, French and Italian and received 2003 Kodansha Manga Award in Shōjo category.
Hates all raw foods, excluding raw eggs.
Loves egg rice.
Always loved stand-up comedy and used to listen to tapes of comedy acts, especially Downtown, on her way to and from school every day.
The only time she has any energy is when she goes to concerts. Loves bands like Tamio Okuda, Bump of Chicken, and Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra.
