Plot: 'Muoi' charts the path of a Korean writer who travels to Vietnam in search of stories for her second novel. There she learns about a mystery centered around a century-old vengeful spirit.
«The film’s real strength is its high production values, and it certainly looks great, boasting some of the strongest visuals seen in a genre effort for some time. Kim makes great use of the Vietnamese setting, packing in plenty of local colour in a subtle manner and without ever making things feel too much like a travelogue.»

«Muoi The Portrait of Legend, isn’t the type of movie to scare the bejesus out of you, but there is an intriguing story set within Muoi, along with an abundance of mystery running throughout the film. Strong performance by An Jo is noteworthy, as she seems to give a breakout performance. Muoi tuns out to be an enjoyable horror film done right.»
«Visually at the upper end of the K-horror spectrum, and scare-wise ranking about the middle, Vietnam-set "Muoi" boosts formulaic ingredients with classy packaging and sturdy work by lead thesps Jo An and Cha Ye-ryeon. Capable helmer Kim Tae-kyung's spooky tale about a writer getting more than she bargained for on a research trip marks the first-ever South Korea-Vietnam co-production.»
